The Town of Cutler Bay has opened registration for its 12th annual Senior Games, a multi-day athletic competition scheduled to begin on Tuesday, Nov. 10. The event is part of the town’s Active Adults program and operates as a local qualifier for the Florida Senior Games.

The competition features an Olympic style format across eleven distinct categories. These include basketball shooting, billiards, bowling, corn hole, horseshoes, pickleball, shuffleboard, swimming, table tennis, tennis, and track and field. Activities will run all day throughout the event period.

Participation is open to any adult aged 50 or older. While the event is hosted by Cutler Bay, the town explicitly welcomes residents from other municipalities to join. Events coordinator Paola Perez emphasized that there is no cost to enter. “Our Senior Games are free to participate in and residents of other municipalities are welcomed and encouraged to participate,” Perez said.

Perez described the event as a chance for participants to “create great memories and show off your skills.” The games serve as a precursor to the state-level competition, allowing local athletes to test their abilities in a structured environment before the larger regional event takes place.

To enter, interested individuals must send an email directly to Perez at pperez@cutlerbay-fl.gov. The town is also soliciting vendors and sponsors for the event. For business inquiries or general information, organizers have designated Maria Herrera-Mendoza as the primary contact. She can be reached by email at mherrera-mendoza@cutlerbay-fl.gov or by phone at 786-459-7389.

This is the twelfth time the town has hosted this specific iteration of the games. Previous years have seen consistent participation, with many residents returning annually. The town is coordinating the logistics for the 2026 edition through its community events staff, ensuring that all eleven categories are staffed and ready for competition on Nov. 10.
