Heidi Klum appeared as a giant, severed left hand at her annual Halloween party in New York on Saturday, marking the 25th anniversary of the event. The model wore a costume that covered her entire body, leaving only her eyes and mouth visible. Blood dripped from her mouth as she extended her tongue, while the top of the hand featured dangling ligaments and tendons. She was accompanied by assistants wearing blood-stained hazmat suits.

Klum said the concept originated last year when she examined her own hand. “I looked at my hand and I thought, ‘Hey, I think I could fit my body in this somehow,’” she said. The final costume included long red nails, a thumb ring, and her engagement and wedding bands. The prosthetic design also incorporated her palm lines, veins, and a tattoo of the name Tom on her ring finger.

The model stated that applying the prosthetics required five to six hours. “Hands down, the hardest thing is carrying it,” Klum said. “It's quite heavy.” She shared images of the application process on Instagram earlier in the day, showing bloodied prosthetics being attached to her face.

Her husband, musician Tom Kaulitz, did not attend the party because he was on tour. Klum noted that a small part of him was present in the costume details. “A little bit of Tom is with me,” she said.

The party has featured elaborate costumes in previous years. In 2022, Klum went viral for arriving on a fishing line inside a worm costume. Past outfits have included Medusa, a peacock, an 8-foot-tall Transformer, a werewolf from Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” music video, a clone with lookalikes, and the Hindu goddess Kali.
