Ukraine’s Parliamentary Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets, reported that no incidents have occurred in the temporarily occupied city of Oleshky since the current ceasefire began 30 hours ago.
The pause started at 03:00 Kyiv time on October 27. Lubinets announced the commencement of the agreement, and the Russian Defence Ministry confirmed the implementation. Prior to this, the White House announced on October 23 that First Lady Melania Trump had secured the deal. She is credited with coordinating the humanitarian mission to assist civilians in the area.
Lubinets stated that the quiet period resulted from constant communication between him and Russia’s human rights commissioner, Yana Lantratova. He said, "Thirty hours of a ceasefire in Oleshky without a single incident. This was made possible, in part, by constant communication between me and Russia's human rights commissioner, Yana Lantratova. We remain in contact and are coordinating the implementation of the agreements reached."
The Ukrainian official thanked Trump and her team for their direct involvement and support in creating conditions for the safe evacuation of civilians. He noted that both sides are focused on providing assistance to the civilian population.
On October 27 at 17:30, Lubinets reported that Ukraine and Russia were fully complying with the agreements in designated areas. No violations by either side were recorded at that time. The ceasefire is scheduled to remain in effect until 22:59 on November 1.
